Burgundy Blue is a dynamic mixed vocal quintet from Melbourne, specialising in close harmony and jazz-adjacent styles. After bursting onto the a cappella scene in 2016, Burgundy Blue finished as National Champions of the AUSACA Australian A Cappella Awards in 2019, having also represented Australia at the Hong Kong International A Cappella Competition in Hong Kong in 2018. In 2022 Burgundy Blue released their first album, featuring their captivating arrangements and exquisite harmonies, and released their second album, Blue, this year. During their eight years of performing and recording, Burgundy Blue has refined their sound and carved out a unique place in the a cappella world, drawing on influences from groups such as The Idea of North and The Real Group while utilising each members’ diverse qualities and singing backgrounds.
