Experience the best of modern music teaching – Melbourne style. For four days in September, Australia’s cultural capital will host workshops, conversations, presentations and performances that highlight creativity and diversity in Kodály-inspired teaching. Join music educators from around Australia as we navigate the lines between tradition and innovation, and strive to become the teachers we want to be. Whether you’re a seasoned educator or just starting out, National Conference 2024 will provide the perfect opportunity to network, learn, and discover what modern Kodály -inspired teaching has to offer.
You will attend some sessions together with all the delegates and some sessions in groups. Closer to the time attendees will be notified if electives need to be prebooked due to restrictions on numbers in rooms.
Choose from a wide variety of workshops and papers led by experienced local, interstate and overseas presenters. Full details of electives will be added to the Program as they are confirmed.
Please take time to ascertain which musicianship group will be the most suitable for you. Please indicate on your registration form which group you think best suits you. Once you are at the conference, if you find the group you are in is too easy/advanced there will be an opportunity to change after the first ten minutes of the session.
